Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger is pleased to announce that its $100,000 Challenge raised over $200,000 to support Good Shepherd Food Bank and community food pantries across the state. The final fundraising tally will be revealed during Monday’s credit union virtual town hall meeting.
CU Employees Can Wear Face Shields When Working Behind a Barrier
The Mills Administration has confirmed that face shields are a permitted form of facial covering for financial institution employees when deployed with a plexiglass barrier. If a physical barrier does not exist between an employee and a member, then cloth face masks remain the only approved facial covering.

CU System Sees Major Victory as SCOTUS Denies ABA Appeal on FOM Rule
The U.S. Supreme Court denied an appeal from the American Bankers Association to void the NCUA field of membership (FOM) rule, a decision that marks the end of bankers’ nearly four-year battle to undo NCUA’s FOM rule finalized in October 2016.
