Loan Officer


Gardiner FCU is hiring a Loan Officer at its Gardiner location.

This position will be an individual who is highly motivated, positive, outgoing, and attentive to detail.  They will assist members with consumer, mortgage and commercial lending needs; analyze loan requests and make credit decisions based on lending policy and regulations.  Responsible for all aspects of consumer and mortgage origination, processing, and closing.

The preferred candidate will have 3+ years of experience in lending products and practices, a positive attitude and strong attention to detail while maintaining efficient processes. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Symitar Episys experience are preferred.  Exceptional verbal, written communication skills, analytical and mathematical skills are required. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, and strong interpersonal skills are required. Current registration under the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry or the ability to be registered. Ability to work in a goal oriented environment.

The preferred candidate will be expected to maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.  Troubleshooting and resolving member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner is also expected.
