Synergent’s Assistance in Federal Skimming Case Leads to Indictment
Earlier this year, the League and Synergent shared information about a card skimming scheme that was discovered in Portland. A federal grand jury has returned an indictment against a Florida man for his role in this activity. Rebekah Higgins, Synergent Payment and Fraud Consultant, assisted law enforcement officers working the case.

CUNA Announces Virtual Format for 2021 GAC
CUNA announced that the 2021 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) will move to an interactive virtual format. Next year’s event, taking place March 2-4, 2021, will bring together credit unions, leagues, thought leaders, and policymakers for a dynamic online experience.
