CU Professional – Communication 101

In a world of constant change, effective communication is a crucial skill set for everyone in the workplace and essential to your professional success. Good communication skills go beyond talking and conversations and include attentive listening skills, written communication and nonverbal communication. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of communication and a solid foundation upon which to build strong skills and relationships in the workplace, including skills in:

• Active listening
• Determining the best, and most professional, way to get your point across
• Overcoming barriers in listening
• Managing emotions, and there impact, in communication
• Professional business writing

Credit union professionals are not only individuals that effectively execute processes in the credit union but also effectively interact and lead others. The CU Professional program provides you the necessary skills through discussion and instruction relating to your communication styles, the importance of teamwork, conflict mitigation and professional image. Successful completion of the series will give you the skills to maximize your interactions with others, reach your potential, and present your best professional image each day. Complete all five courses and earn the CU Professional certification.
