Aroostook Chapter Seeks Volunteers for Upcoming Financial Fitness Fair


The Aroostook Chapter of Credit Unions will be hosting their 13th Annual Financial Fitness Fair at the Loring Air Force Base in Limestone on April 28. This fair will provide a money management experience to over 300 Northern Maine high school juniors. With such great participation, the Aroostook Chapter of Credit Unions is seeking volunteers from other credit unions across the state.

Compromise Reached on Abandoned Property Bill


The League is pleased to announce the language drafted for LD 1963, “An Act To Preserve the Value of Abandoned Properties by Allowing Entry by Mortgagees,” is now acceptable to all interested parties.  Over the last several weeks, the Governmental Affairs team has been working with the bill’s opponents to address their concerns and reach a compromise.
