Supreme Court Halts COVID-19 Vaccine Rule for U.S. Businesses


The Supreme Court has stopped the Biden administration from enforcing a requirement that employees at large businesses be vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo weekly testing and wear a mask on the job. At the same time, the court is allowing the administration to proceed with a vaccine mandate for most health care workers in the U.S.

Midcoast FCU Announces New Employees and Expands Field of Membership


Midcoast FCU is pleased to welcome two new employees to their team. April Chubbuck joins the credit union as a Member Services Representative for the Edgecomb and Bath locations, and Nicole Main is the new Payment Solutions Specialist I. Maine Credit Unions Spend Over 13,000 Hours Volunteering in 2021


Maine credit union employees annually contribute thousands of hours in volunteer time to a variety of organizations and causes. In 2021, credit unions reported a total of 13,309.64 volunteer hours, worth approximately $379,857 in donated time. University CU, Community CU, New Dimensions FCU, Gardiner FCU, and Midcoast FCU contributed the most hours in donated time, with each logging 1,000 hours or more.
