Congratulations to Dirigo FCU. The credit union sold the winning Take a Chance to End Hunger raffle ticket. Their lucky member will be Boston-bound on April 16 to see the Bruins take on the Pittsburg Penguins at the TD Garden.
The County FCU Promotes Dennis Rogeski to Retail Services Manager, Northern Region
The County FCU is pleased to announce that Dennis Rogeski has been promoted to Retail Services Manager, Northern Region. He will oversee retail operations at the credit union’s branches in Aroostook County.

Deadline to Apply for a League Social Responsibility Award Has Been Extended
The League is extending the application deadline for the state Dora Maxwell, Louise Herring, and Desjardins Awards. Now that your credit union has some additional time to get your entries in, we hope you will help us recognize your outstanding efforts to strengthen the communities you serve and improve the financial lives of your members. Online applications must be received by 5:00 pm on March 30.
Northeast CU Announces Kelly Sica as AVP of Deposit Processing
Northeast CU is pleased to announce Kelly Sica as the new Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Deposit Processing. Previously the AVP of Retail Development for the Southern Region, Sica will now oversee the development and implementation of strategy and programs in the Deposit Processing division.

CUNA Board Approves Resolution of Support for Ukraine
The CUNA Board of Directors approved a resolution affirming CUNA’s continued support of Ukrainian credit unions during the Russian invasion. Credit unions in Maine and around the world can continue to support the Ukrainian Credit Union Displacement Fund by making an online donation.

League Spends Time Volunteering at Good Shepherd Food Bank
Good Shepherd Food Bank relies heavily on the support of volunteers to help them deliver healthy, nutritious meals to those in need. On Tuesday, members of the League’s Corporate Marketing & Communications team spent the day volunteering at the food bank’s Auburn facility. This was the first time since the pandemic began that the League was able to lend their time, talent, and muscle to help package food for delivery.
Donations Are Being Collected for the Campaign for Ending Hunger Online Auction
Spring is in the air and plans are well underway for the League’s annual Convention, taking place May 13-14 at the Holiday Inn By the Bay. As part of the festivities, the League will be hosting an online auction to benefit Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. Credit unions can support the auction and the Campaign by donating an auction item.
