Preparing for the Future

The Maine Credit Union League is fortunate to have a strong team, many of whom are long-tenured with deep roots in the Maine credit union system and with our members. They are at the heart of our ability to fulfill our mission and serve our member credit unions, something we take very seriously. As part of our succession planning efforts and to help ensure the strength of our team long into the future, we are pleased to announce that a new leadership position has been created: Senior Vice President of Membership Services.

The position will be part of the League/Synergent Senior Leadership Team reporting to Todd Mason, President/CEO, and working closely with Cheryl Lancaster, EVP of Member Services, over a transition period. Among other duties, the position will have responsibility for the overall functions of the League. Recruitment will begin immediately.

“While no formal retirement announcements have been made, now is the time to begin planning as we can anticipate they are coming and want to be proactive to ensure the League has a strong leadership team well into the future,” said Todd Mason. The creation of the Learning and Development team announced late last year is one step we’ve already taken to prepare, and the creation of the SVP of Membership Services role is another.”

These steps will help the League maintain and build upon the service levels and relationships Maine credit unions have enjoyed for many years.
