Young Professionals Network Advocacy Day

Time: 11:00 am – 4:00 pm 

Location: Maine State House | 210 State Street, Augusta 

Cost: $50

The Maine Credit Union League will be hosting a Young Professionals Network (YPN) event in Augusta on Thursday, November 16. This special event will highlight the important role advocacy plays in helping our credit unions achieve their public policy goals. 

The event will begin at 10:30 am in the Appropriations & Financial Affairs Committee Room, located in the State House (Room 228). YPs will engage in roundtable discussions with legislators and young government officials, including financial regulators. After breaking for a provided lunch, attendees will experience a guided tour of the State House and then participate in a hands-on advocacy training. To close out the event, YPs may get a special Blaine House tour.

If attendees would like to keep the fun going following the event, there will be an optional happy hour held at Cushnoc Brewing Co. immediately following. 

The cost to attend will be $50 per person. Light appetizers will be provided.

The YPN is an open group for Maine credit union staff and volunteers, ages 21 to 40, that focuses on providing professional development, networking, and educational opportunities, as well as resources to help YPs grow and strengthen the credit union industry.
