We are kicking off the New Year with a local fundraiser for the Campaign for Ending Hunger. The Campaign has once again been chosen as a Hannaford Fight Hunger Bag Program beneficiary and will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 Fight Hunger Bag sold at Hannaford Supermarket’s Westbrook location during the month of January. The store is located at 7 Hannaford Drive (Westbrook) and it is the only location in Maine where a Fight Hunger Bag purchase will benefit the Campaign. All funds raised will be directed into the Campaign’s general account.
If you have a branch in close proximity to the Westbrook store, we hope you will consider sharing information about this unique fundraiser with your staff, volunteers, and members. Buying a bag is a simple and environmentally friendly way to support the Campaign next month. Fight Hunger Bags are located on displays around the store and at the checkout area.
Last month, the Campaign raised $180 thanks to Fight Hunger Bag sales at Hannford’s Bangor location. These dollars really add up!
Hannaford has created a variety of promotional materials to help your credit union advertise the fundraiser. Those materials are below and include:
- Sample email to share with staff/volunteers/members (the messaging template can also be used to develop social media posts)
- Social media graphics for Facebook/LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter)
- Printable flyer (prints on a standard 8.5” X 11” piece of paper)
