The Maine Credit Union League and Synergent are monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak closely and taking proactive measures to ensure the products and services your credit union depends on remain unaffected by any spread of the virus in our region. We also are equally committed to protecting the health and well-being of our employees and their families.


March 26 Updates
» Added to the Resources page links to State of Maine Order pertaining to Essential Businesses and Operations and Stay-at-Home orders from Portland, Bangor, Brunswick, and South Portland.

March 25 Updates
» Added a draft Essential Services Employee Letter for credit unions to carry with them as they travel to and from work.
» Added draft language credit unions can user to assure their members that credit unions classify as essential services.
» Added draft language credit unions can share with their members to remind them about the importance of social distancing.
» Updated draft messaging credit unions can share with their members in the event of reduced hours or branch closures.

March 24 Updates

» Portland, Bangor, and Brunswick issue Stay at Home orders but designates financial institutions as essential services.
» FHLBank Boston provides collateral guidance pertaining to loans granted COVID-19-related forbearance or loan modifications.
