Cumberland County FCU is hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer at its Falmouth location.

Description:

Cumberland County FCU is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as Mortgage Loan Officer. In this position, the right candidate will build relationships with members and find the right solutions for their mortgage needs. Working as a trusted member advocate, this position will be responsible for both the development and origination of new mortgage loans at the credit union.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as primary Mortgage Loan Officer for the credit union’s 22,000 members.
  • Provides exceptional service at all stages of the origination process.
  • Has the ability to think outside the box to find solutions for the unique needs of each member.
  • Represents the credit union at numerous community and marketing events.
  • Conducts regular homebuyer seminars, both in person and virtual, throughout the year.
  • Fosters relationships with the credit union’s mortgage servicing partner.
  • Builds and maintains working partnerships with other mortgage related vendors.

This position is based out of the Falmouth Operations Center and works Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 to 4:30 and Thursday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:30. Flexibility is required as this position is expected to attend mortgage closings, community events, and serve members after normal business hours.

Requirements:

  • Outgoing personality to create and maintain member and vendor relationships.
  • High school diploma required; secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum of two years secondary market real estate lending preferred.
  • Experience with Mortgage Cadence preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Required to have or could retain an NMLS Registration.
  • Proficient in the use of standard computer applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel).
