May Charitable Connection: Full Plates, Full Potential
At each event offered by the Credit Union Women’s Network of Maine, we highlight an opportunity to give to organizations that make an impact in our communities.
Full Plates Full Potential is a non-profit dedicated to ending childhood food insecurity in Maine by maximizing the use of existing child nutrition programs. They led the statewide coalition that helped advocate for, write, and pass School Meals for All, and they administer grant programs that support providers of child nutrition programs across the state, such as school breakfast, afterschool meals, and summer meals.
With the school year drawing to a close, Full Plates Full Potential anticipates that more schools and local organizations will require financial assistance to carry out vital summer meal programs. With the projected increase in demand, the funding they provide through their grants is going to be stretched to the max. They will be moving mountains to keep Maine kids fed this summer.
Funding support is critical in helping Full Plates Full Potential fulfill as many grant applications as possible to provide access to the vitally important summer meals programs. Please consider making a donation of any amount to support the essential work that they do.
