Bridges Out of Poverty: Strengthening Credit Unions by Understanding Economic Instability
Credit Unions are uniquely positioned to serve and support individuals facing financial instability. Whether it’s our members living on fixed incomes, employees who have experienced economic challenges, or the underserved communities we are committed to helping, understanding poverty’s impact is critical to our mission.
In this engaging training, we’ll explore proven concepts, strategies, and approaches to prevent, reduce, and alleviate poverty. Designed specifically for Credit Union professionals, this session will provide insights into the hidden rules of economic class, the challenges faced by those in poverty, and practical tools to strengthen member relationships, improve employee engagement, and enhance financial outcomes.
This training is ideal for any Credit Union employee—whether frontline staff, leadership, or back-office teams—who wants to better understand and support members and colleagues navigating financial hardship. Join us as we work together to build stronger, more resilient communities through financial empowerment.
