Marketing Specialist


Synergent is hiring a Marketing Specialist to work from its Westbrook office.

Synergent is looking for a Corporate Marketing Specialist who can work with the current marketing team on promotion of Synergent as a national brand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing, strong writing skills, and the ability to execute new and ongoing marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and drive engagement with prospective credit union partners. The position also helps with the update of marketing materials, email lists, and website lead-generation content and forms.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and print.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and refine marketing materials, including product/service documentation, website content, and other promotional materials.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inbound marketing strategies, including content creation and optimization.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, recommending adjustments to strategies as needed to optimize results. Responsible for monthly marketing analytics reporting, including Google Analytics, email performance, and social media performance.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of tradeshows, webinars, and other events, including tradeshow booth coordination.
  • Write website, social media, case study, newsletter, press release, and other content as needed to support the Synergent sales and lead-generation process.
  • Responsible for email list maintenance within multiple email platforms.
  • Conduct market research to help develop targeted marketing strategies.
  • Work with sales and product teams to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Research, order, track, and maintain inventory of Synergent corporate branded gifts, including tradeshow and key partner giveaways.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of internal company communication.

Required Skills:

  • Five years of experience in marketing, business development, or a related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, social media platforms, SEO tools).
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with frequently-changing priorities.
  • Experience with online content management tools, including WordPress.
  • Experience with HubSpot or other online marketing automation and lead-generation platforms a plus.
  • Proficiency with standard PC programs and functions, including Microsoft Excel.
