CUSO Home Lending is hiring a Mortgage Loan Officer – Central and Southern Maine Market for remote work.

The successful candidate(s) will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an MLO and be a team player with a positive attitude. The position requires that you understand and comply with mortgage industry regulations, including NMLS, Licensing, Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, Truth-in-Lending laws, etc.
The ideal candidate will offer superior service to our borrowers while maintaining polite and cooperative relationships with our credit unions, realtors and CUSO staff. We are looking for a candidate who is confident, optimistic and presents a neat, professional appearance. You will sell our full portfolio of mortgage products to customers who are buying or refinancing homes. This process involves both face-to-face meetings and telephone communication, working closely with our operations staff to ensure that the loan applications are fully completed, ensuring the necessary supporting documentation is received, and that the loans close as scheduled. MLOs are expected to balance their work schedule calling on real estate brokers and other clients to establish mortgage business. This requires work outside of regular business hours, which may necessitate a flexible work schedule. The MLO will achieve regular sales goals while maintaining the high standards our customers expect from our trusted team.
