Just in time for Thanksgiving, Hannaford Supermarket is once again showing its support for Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger through its Fight Hunger Bag Program. During the month of November, the Campaign will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 Fight Hunger Bag sold at Hannaford’s Brewer location at 383 Wilson Street. If your credit union has a branch near this store, please consider encouraging your staff, volunteers, and members to take part in this unique fundraiser. All funds raised will be directed to the Campaign’s general account.
To help with advertising, Hannaford has created a variety of promotional materials credit unions can use to raise awareness about this fundraiser, including:
- Sample messaging templates to share with staff/volunteers/members (this messaging can also be used to develop social media posts)
- Social media graphic for Facebook/LinkedIn
- Social media graphic for Twitter
- Printable flyer for display at your branch (prints on a standard 8.5” X 11” piece of paper)
Currently, Hannaford is selling bags at its Broadway Street store in Bangor to benefit the Campaign. The Bangor location’s fundraiser runs through the end of this month. This means double the opportunity to support the Campaign and help feed our neighbors in need.
