Weaver Takes Helm of Acadia FCU Broadway Branch in Bangor

Acadia FCU is pleased to announce that Craig Weaver recently accepted the position of branch manager at their flagship location on Broadway in Bangor. He previously held the position of branch manager at their Stillwater Avenue facility.

The Broadway branch manager position was vacated after Acadia FCU added an additional full-time lender position to Bangor. Kim Beaulieu-Thompson, Broadway’s branch manager at the time, saw an opportunity to focus on lending. She chose to step down from the manager position, as she has developed a very loyal following of members, realtors, and other referral partners during the course of her career.

“We couldn’t be more pleased that Kim has asked to move into this role,” said Joey Cannan, Acadia FCU Executive Vice President. “As the Bangor market continues to grow, strong lenders are going to be key to our continued success. Kim is a perfect fit.”

Beaulieu-Thompson’s move into full-time lending opened the door for Weaver to step in and supervise a larger staff. He is heading up overall branch operations while maintaining established credit union policies and procedures. He also oversees continued Bangor-area member development, member and lending services, and underwrites consumer loans.

“I am excited to have joined our newest branch on Broadway in Bangor,” said Weaver. “My goal is to continue growing the branch and inviting existing members to check it out. I look forward to working with our well-established team at Broadway and continuing to provide the exceptional service our members have come to expect from Acadia FCU.”

After attending Winterport and Hampden schools, Weaver went on to on to graduate from UMaine in Orono in 2010, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. He went on to work in retail management before transitioning to the financial industry with Acadia FCU in summer of 2020.

“Craig has been with us for less than two years but has made quite a difference on our team,” said Karen Daigle, Acadia’s VP of Operations. “He takes great pride in his work, has incredible work ethic, and his mentorship skills are truly admirable. It made perfect sense to give him the reins to a larger branch with added responsibilities. Our Broadway branch will continue to thrive under Craig’s leadership.”
