Three Credit Unions Lead Ending Hunger $100,000 Challenge Fundraising

As part of this year’s $100,000 Ending Hunger Challenge, the League and Synergent offered credit unions a fundraising incentive. The three credit unions that raised the most through a direct credit union donation to the Challenge, member donations, and/or their own fundraisers will receive a $500 bonus to be added their credit union’s Ending Hunger account. Credit union fundraising was considered in three distinct asset sizes and the recipients of the bonus by asset size are listed below:

  • Less than $50 million: Maine Solutions FCU
  • $50 – $250 million: Bangor FCU
  • $250 million – $1 billion: Atlantic FCU

Congratulations to these credit unions and to each institution that participated in the Challenge. Because of your efforts and your commitment to Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, people facing food insecurity in your communities will benefit from your support.
