Still Time For Musicians To Submit Entry To Sound Off Music Competition

Just days remain for aspiring musicians to submit an original song in the fourth annual 'Young & Free Maine Sound Off Competition'.  The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, January 28, at 5 p.m.  The contest is receiving heavy promotion through the contest's media partners: 94 WCYY in Portland; and Z-107.3 in Bangor.

This year's contest will feature a new Grand Prize: a spot to play on the WCYY stage at the Old Port Festival in June 2015. The Grand Prize winner(s) will also receive a $1000 gift certificate to Main Street Music Studios, LLC in Bangor. Another twist: the fifth finalist will be a wildcard winner chosen by the Young & Free Maine team. Each year more of Maine's Gen Y shows an interest in entering and voting in this contest, generating more awareness of Maine's Credit Unions among the 18-to-25 crowd.

When the submission deadline ends, the public vote phase will take place from February 2-11, and the Finalists will perform, followed by the announcement of the winner on February 20th in Bangor.
