Seaboard FCU’s Sock in a Box Campaign Returns

For the tenth year in a row, the Sock in a Box campaign has returned to Seaboard FCU! This initiative began on the tail end of the Thanksgiving holiday on November 27 as the season of giving was getting underway. Donations of new socks are being accepted at the Bucksport, Ellsworth, and Hermon branches of Seaboard FCU until December 20. All donations will benefit three local homeless shelters: The Bangor Area Homeless Shelter (Bangor), The Shaw House (Bangor), and the Emmaus Homeless Shelter (Ellsworth).

“Sock in a Box has been a staple in our Bucksport, Ellsworth, and Hermon communities for almost a decade,” explained Kylie Kennedy, Marketing Coordinator at Seaboard FCU. “Seaboard FCU strives to give back to our local communities and our members as much as possible. By continuing Sock in a Box, our local communities will be able to keep their toes warm this holiday season! We hope to continue Sock in a Box for MANY years to come.”

This special effort has also received news coverage on WABI TV5 in Bangor.
