Place Your Bids! Ending Hunger Online Auction Is Live


The League is pleased to announce our online auction to benefit the Campaign for Ending Hunger is now live! Thanks to overwhelming support from credit union, League, and Synergent employees, we have more items than ever before. If you’ve been looking for a way to support the Campaign, the auction is a great opportunity to give back while also rewarding yourself with something special.

“Because we have so many fabulous and unique items for our auction this year, I’m optimistic we’ll raise more money than we did in 2022—and our prior auction was very successful,” said Jen Burke, League AVP – Communications & Outreach. “Our team at the League appreciates our many donors. Without their support, the auction would not be possible. It truly demonstrates our movement’s commitment to fighting hunger in our state.”

This year’s roster of items includes artwork, jewelry, fishing gear, concert tickets, gift cards to popular eateries, and more! If you are attending the League’s Convention at the Holiday Inn By the Bay, you can see our items on display; however, all bidding will take place online.

The auction will close at 2:45 pm on May 19. If you are a winning bidder, you can collect your item(s) at Convention between 3:30 – 4:30 pm. You also can arrange to pick up your item(s) at the League’s office. If you do not live in the Greater Portland and are not attending Convention, your item(s) will be mailed by June 2.

How the Online Auction Works

On any device, for example your smartphone, computer, or tablet, go to: https://campaignforendinghunger.org/auction.

This will bring you directly to the BID HERE! page. If you find an item you like, select it. When selecting the item, you will see the description of the item and its value. From here you can PLACE A BID on the item or watch the item by clicking the HEART ICON. Certain items have a BUY NOW feature.

When on the BID HERE! page, the current bid for each item will be listed in bold. If you choose to bid on, watch, or buy an item, you will be prompted to create an account.

  • Step 1: Enter your personal email address and create a password.
    • If you bid on an item during our last auction, you may already have an account. If you have forgotten your login information, click SIGN IN, enter your email address, and then click “forgot your password.”
  • Step 2: Enter your first and last name and your cell phone number.
    • Once you have completed these steps, you will receive a text message containing a link that will automatically direct you to the auction website on your mobile device. If you do not want to view and/or bid on items using your mobile device, go to https://campaignforendinghunger.org/auction using your computer or tablet. SIGN IN using your email address and password.
  • Step 3: You will be prompted to provide a credit card number if you PLACE BID or BUY NOW.
  • Step 4: After submitting a bid, you will be prompted to set a MAX BID. If you enter a MAX BID amount, the auction platform (OneCause) will automatically bid on your behalf using the bid increments you provided.

If you are outbid on an item, you will receive a text message. Alternatively, you can always check on the status of your bid by navigating to the MY ITEMS tab.

One of the many benefits of hosting our auction online is our ability to share the link with more people to get them engaged in our fundraising efforts. Please feel free to notify your family and friends about the auction and share our link. More bidders mean more dollars for the Campaign!
