Susan G. Whitehead, President and CEO at NorState FCU, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Davenport as the credit union’s new Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Davenport has spent most of his 35-year career working in the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as a Financial Consultant for CUNA Mutual Group, working with credit unions of all sizes in the eastern region of the county.
“We are excited to have Jeff join the NorState FCU team,” said Whitehead. “His knowledge of the credit union industry as well as his vast experience in so many facets of credit union operations will support NorState FCU’s mission and future growth.”
Davenport has extensive experience speaking at credit union events and facilitating strategic planning sessions. He also has served on various Maine Credit Union League committees and is the past Chair of the New England CUES Council.
“I’ve been fortunate to have been involved with NorState FCU directly and indirectly for the past 22 years,” said Davenport. “I am happy and excited to be continuing that relationship in my new capacity as the credit union grows and moves forward.”
Davenport and his wife, Sherrie live in Fort Fairfield, where they were both born and raised. He begins his new duties at NorState FCU on November 15.
