Nominate Someone You Admire for a League Award

It is hard to believe the League’s 85th Annual Convention is a few months away! Not only are we looking forward to coming together with our credit unions to learn and collaborate, we also will take time to recognize those exceptional individuals who make working in the People Helping People industry so special!

During our Convention’s annual awards ceremony, we will honor credit union leaders from across the state, but we need your help to make this year’s program a big success! We hope you will consider nominating a deserving colleague or volunteer who you believe is making a difference in Maine’s credit union movement.

Nominations are now being accepted for the following awards:

  • James M. Gratto Award – Outstanding Credit Union CEO
  • Alexander Ferguson Award – Outstanding Credit Union Volunteer
  • Jeannette G. Morin Award – Outstanding Credit Union Employee
  • Diane L. Oceretko Award – People Helping People

“We encourage all credit unions to nominate their peers for these prestigious awards,” explained Stacy Rodenberger, League Assistant Vice President – Learning & Development. “Named after leaders in the Maine credit union movement, there’s no better way to celebrate the People Helping People philosophy than highlighting the achievements of those who live these ideals every day.”

Nominating an individual for one of these awards requires only a small amount of time and is extremely worthwhile. To learn more about the awards and access the online nomination form, please visit the League’s website. Completed forms can be emailed to Jordan Inkley at jinkley@mainecul.org. Nominations must be submitted by Friday, March 17. Please include as much detail as possible with your nomination(s).

Award winners will be announced during the Convention’s evening program on May 19.
