New England Sister Society of Global Women to Meet in October


Registration is now open for the upcoming New England Sister Society chapter meeting of the Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN). The event will take place October 12, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. Anyone interested in advancing women in leadership within the credit union industry and improving the economic outlook for women worldwide is welcome to attend.

There is a $65 fee for the meeting, which will feature speaker Terry McGover addressing the topic of complex leadership and advocacy lessons. McGovern currently serves as Harriet and Robert H. Heilbrunn Professor and Chair of the Heilbrunn Department of Population and Family Health. She also is the Director of the Program on Global Health Justice and Governance at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Hotel accommodations are not included with the event fee.

The Global Women’s Leadership Network (www.CUWomen.org) was formed by the World Council of Credit Unions over 15 years ago with the parallel aims of improving financial and professional empowerment for women both here in the United States and abroad.
