Will 2017 be a record-setting year for the Maine CUs' Campaign for Ending Hunger? As funds and contributions continue to pour in from CUs, anticipation regarding a final total is building by the day. However, the deadline to submit funds to count towards the 2017 Campaign is fast-approaching.
"This is a really exciting time for the Campaign as we watch the total grow quickly. While enthusiasm and energy about the 2017 results are very high, the final total won't be known for a couple of weeks as we reconcile all of the contributions. What we have heard is that many credit unions have done some creative and innovative things during the year to raise funds for the Campaign, and that is what makes the Campaign such a great example of the 'people helping people' spirit of credit unions," remarked Jon Paradise, Vice President of Public Affairs and Engagement for the Maine CU League.
Paradise said the Campaign requests that all funds be submitted by Friday, January 5th, with the final date that funds received will count towards the 2017 Campaign set for Friday, January 12. Funds should be made payable to (Ending Hunger) or (Take A Chance, for funds raised via raffle) and mailed to: Maine CU League, ATTN: Ending Hunger, PO Box 1236, Portland ME 04104.
The results will be announced at the Ending Hunger Results Luncheon on Tuesday, February 6, at the Doubletree Hotel in South Portland. Watch for more details coming soon.
