Midcoast FCU Was “Freezin” for a Reason

Despite the chilly weather, the team at Midcoast FCU turned up the heat to help their neighbors in need in Freeport. The credit union participated in Freeport Community Services’ Freeze Out 2023. The annual event, now in its 18th year, raises funds for the organization’s home heating assistance fund and collects food for its pantry programs.

Sixteen Midcoast FCU employees were involved with this year’s fundraiser and contributed to the day’s success. The organization reached its goal, raising $20,000 through this important event.

“We love helping our community,” said Tena Wallace, Vice President of Community Engagement at Midcoast FCU. “Midcoast was proud to support the Freeze Out and do its part to keep our friends and neighbors warm this winter.”
