Major Milestone For Pineland BCP, Operations Center

The establishment of the Pineland Operations BCP Center was marked this week by another major milestone as the first wave of League and Synergent staff moved in. On Wednesday, January 7, twelve team members set up permanent office space at the Center, bringing the Center to full operational status.

John Murphy, President of your League, explained, "From a business continuity standpoint, the infrastructure investment in the Pineland location represents a giant leap forward in our future capabilities. Whereas the former location in Lewiston focused on being a core processing recovery site, Pineland enhances our systems recovery capabilities, enables us to test and implement new technologies, and diversifies staffing to build operational continuity."

The move to Pineland began with an approval by the Board of Directors meeting in December 2013 when it was determined this would be the right thing to do for the League and Synergent long term.  Murphy praised the many individuals involved with the project, noting, "Despite challenges along the way, the commitment and cooperation among everyone who participated in this project produced a successful outcome that we look forward to utilizing the new opportunities the combined operations and BCP Center provides to our organization and our credit unions."
