Maine State CU Announces the Promotion of Crommett and Hilt to Executive Team


Maine State CU is excited to announce the promotion of Amanda Crommett to Senior Vice President and Chief Organizational Development Officer and Jason Hilt to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

“Amanda and Jason have been instrumental in the growth of the Maine State Credit Union over the past several years,” said President and CEO Stephen Wallace. “Both have an unwavering commitment to the success of Maine State Credit Union’s employees and members. Their continued leadership and innovative and practical ideas have been instrumental to its success.”

Amanda Crommett

Amanda Crommett, a lifelong credit union member, has worked for Maine State CU for over eighteen years in multiple roles, including collections, lending, culture development, and training. In her new role, she will oversee the organizational development department responsible for employee leadership training and product skills knowledge and learning. She will also be the point person for the cultural development department of Maine State CU, something she has been part of since its inception in 2012.

Jason Hilt

Jason Hilt has worked in credit unions his entire career and joined Maine State CU in 2022 as Vice President of Finance. Since joining the credit union, Jason has been instrumental in implementing new processes and procedures, which have helped to create efficiencies that allowed Maine State CU to expand rapidly into new digital and retail markets. In his new role, he will continue to lead the finance team and help implement new systems and processes that will allow the credit union to continue to grow and explore new products and markets that will benefit all people in Maine.

Crommett and Hilt join Shane Abbott, SVP, Chief Retail Officer, and Brie-Anne Mellor, SVP, Chief Lending Officer, on the executive team, all reporting to Stephen Wallace, President and CEO. Each is a native Mainer passionate about providing the best financial products and tools to all.
