Maine CUs will be part of high school hoopsters' quest for gold

After having a significant, on-air presence during many of the 'golden' moments of the recent Winter Olympic games with commercials airing on WCSH 6 and WLBZ 2, Maine CUs will be part of the quest for the gold ball that high school girls and boys basketball teams will be after at various venues this weekend.  Through the Statewide Awareness Campaign, Maine's credit unions are again one of the major sponsors of the high school state basketball championship broadcasts on Maine Public Television.

While the first games aired last night with the Class A Boys and Girls games from Portland, eight more games will be broadcast on Friday night and on Saturday afternoon and evening from Portland, Bangor and Augusta.  "The high school basketball championship games are among the most-watched, statewide events on an annual basis by a very diverse audience.  With a strong presence in every game, we are not only supporting all of the teams but are also reaching a statewide audience," explained Jon Paradise, Vice President of Public Affairs and Engagement.
