Maine Credit Unions Launch New Statewide Awareness Advertising

Maine Credit Unions proudly launched another Real Member Story featuring Kristen Glidden. Kristen shares how her credit union helped her in the transition from growing up in Madawaska to moving to Gorham to study at the University of Southern Maine.

In her first week of college, she visited an ATM that, unfortunately, retained her debit card. Thanks to the staff at a local credit union who introduced her to Shared Branching, Kristen was able to access her home credit union account in Aroostook County while waiting for her new card to come in the mail. This, along with accessing her accounts through digital banking, allowed Kristen to go about her fast-paced life with no hiccups.

Kristen appreciates the trust and comfort she has with credit unions and knows her money is safe. She also loves how credit unions make her feel like she’s at home.

This new Real Member Story is being shared on television and radio, as well as on digital and social media. Credit unions also are encouraged to share Kristen’s video on their own social media channels. 60-second, 30-second, and 15-second videos are available at the following links:

When developing these stories, our best recommendations come from people we know and trust. If you have a member story that might be a good fit for our Statewide Awareness efforts, please email Mike Rosmus, the League’s Creative Marketing Manager, at mrosmus@mainecul.org. We also continue to encourage members to share their credit union story on the Maine Credit Unions’ website and by using the social media hashtag #mymainecustory.
