On July 25, the Illinois Credit Union League announced the selection of ten winning credit unions and three leagues in the giving component of the 2023 social media blitz. The Maine Credit Union League and Bangor FCU were each announced as a lucky winner!
The giving component for #ILoveMyCreditUnion Day gave credit unions an opportunity to share their community engagement strategy and be entered into a raffle to win $1,000 to a charity of their choice. All credit union leagues registered to participate in #ILoveMyCreditUnion Day were entered into a separate raffle for donations of $10,000, $7,500, and $5,000 to a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their area.
The Maine Credit Union League won the $5,000 donation. The Indiana Credit Union League and Cornerstone Credit Union League won the $7,500 and $10,000 donations. Bangor FCU is the only credit union winner from Maine.
This year’s #ILoveMyCreditUnion Day is being supported by over 750 organizations, legislators, and friends of credit unions.
