Jeffrey Davenport Joins NorState FCU Board of Directors

Jeffrey Davenport of Fort Fairfield has joined the NorState Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, replacing Dale Danie of Madawaska.

Having spent most of his professional career as a credit union executive, Davenport most recently served on the Advisory Council of the Massachusetts Share Insurance Corporation.  He also is a past chairman of the New England Credit Union Executive Society Council; a past President of the Fort Fairfield and Southbridge, Massachusetts Rotary Clubs; and a past president of the Aroostook Chapter of Credit Unions.  He currently works as a consultant for credit unions of all sizes, assisting them with their financial and strategic directions.

Davenport grew up in Fort Fairfield where he attended local schools.  He and his wife, Sherrie Sirois Davenport, recently moved back to Fort Fairfield after having worked the past 15 years in Massachusetts.  He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree of Business from the University of Maine and then a Masters of Business Management from Husson College.

Davenport stated, “I’m extremely excited to join the NorState volunteer board of directors. This credit union has always been on the cutting edge of new products and services for their members, and I hope my thirty plus years of experience in financial services will help grow the credit union to be relevant for members as well as attract consumers in our area.”

“We look forward to working with Jeff to lead the credit union into the future through innovation and professional member services,” said Susan G. Whitehead, President and CEO of NorState.
