Helping Our Colleagues in Hawaii

We’ve all seen the devastating news out of Hawaii and because People Helping People is at the core of everything we do in the credit union movement, the League wants to provide information on how credit unions and their staff can assist during this difficult time.

The Hawaii Credit Union League is working with its Valley Isle Chapter to coordinate monetary donations to support Maui credit unions, staff, members, and the community. To help those impacted by the fires, monetary donations can be made payable to “Valley Isle Chapter – HCUL” and mailed to:

Valley Isle Chapter
C/O Valley Isle Community Federal Credit Union
160 Paahana Street
Kahului, HI 96732

The Valley Isle Chapter will determine fund distribution. If you have any questions concerning this fundraising drive, please contact Carol Marx at the Hawaii Credit Union League at carol.marx@hcul.org or 808-282-6658.

In addition, the National Credit Union Foundation’s CUAid program is accepting donations to support credit union employees and volunteers affected by the fires. If you would like to make a secure online donation to the Foundation’s CUAid program, please visit, https://secure.givelively.org/donate/national-credit-union-foundation/cuaid.

The League will be making a $5,000 donation to help our colleagues in Hawaii. Anyone can contribute to either effort mentioned above to assist those in need.
