Excitement Builds As 2014 Ending Hunger Funds Flow In

How high the 2014 Maine CUs' Campaign for Ending Hunger total goes comes down to the next few days, as contributions for the Campaign flow in ahead of the January 7th deadline.   In order to count towards the 2014 total, all funds and contributions are due to your League on or before Wednesday, January 7, if at all possible.  "It usually takes a week or two to add up and correctly account for all of the funds submitted so, in order to have the accurate final amount raised in time for the Results Celebration, we need to have the funds in hand by that date.  There is a lot of excitement and anticipation regarding how much will have been raised in 2014," stated your League's Vice President of Governmental & Public Affairs, Jon Paradise.  He noted that corporate contributions are also accepted, adding, "We are hopeful that we will have 100% participation from Maine's credit unions in raising funds for the Campaign.  That sends a powerful message to the cooperative and collaborative spirit of credit unions if we can achieve that milestone."  Checks should be made payable to: Maine CUs' Ending Hunger.  Mail to: Jon Paradise, Maine CU League, PO Box 1236, Portland ME 04104.  For more information about the Campaign, click here.
