Engaged, involved, and active chapters are an integral part of the strong and vibrant collaboration that makes Maine’s credit union network strong. Following the recent chapter restructuring, some credit unions are now eligible to join other chapters based on physical branch proximity. To learn more about the new chapter structure and how this might impact your branches, credit unions are encouraged to review the chapter structure synopsis on the League’s website.
To help chapters facilitate these changes, the League has asked credit union CEOs to indicate which chapters they would like to join and/or maintain affiliation with based on eligibility. CEOs should have received an email earlier this week from Jake Holmes (jholmes@mainecul.org), League Financial Literacy Outreach Coordinator, containing the link to an online form specific to your credit union. To view the form, you must be logged into your League account.
Every CEO is being asked if their credit union would like to maintain affiliation with their original headquartered chapter. CEOs whose credit unions can belong to multiple chapters will be asked whether or not they would like to maintain affiliation with their original headquartered chapter, and if they would like a specific branch to join a new chapter(s).
Completing the form should only take a few minutes and will be instrumental in helping chapter officers affirm membership and plan events. Forms should be completed by Friday, August 25.
