Dirigo FCU Supports “Cuts for Class” Event

Getting kids ready to head back to school can be a financially stressful time. To help ease some of the burden local parents were facing, Dirigo FCU partnered with the Crow’s Nest Barbershop in Auburn and Hot Radio Maine to put on a “Cuts for Class” event on August 30.

“We were so excited to partner with The Crow’s Nest Barbershop and Hot Radio to give back to our community in such a fun and unique way,” said Nicole Mailhot, Chief Business Officer at Dirigo FCU. “Seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces who got fresh, new haircuts for the first day of school was very rewarding to be a part of. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with the Crow’s Nest and making this an annual community event.”

During this eight-hour event, 106 children received haircuts—a great example of People Helping People in the Lewiston-Auburn area!
