Community CU Makes Multiple Donations to Help End Hunger

Community CU recently presented donations to several deserving organizations as part of the credit union’s commitment to ending hunger.

St. Mary’s Food Pantry received a $500 donation and Turner Food Pantry, Leeds Food Pantry, Poland Community Food Pantry, and High Street Congregation Food Pantry each received $250 donations. Additionally, Community CU presented Safe Voices with a check in the amount of $250. Safe Voices offers support to over 1,500 individuals affected by domestic violence in Farmington, Lewiston, South Paris, Norway, and Rumford. The funds will help support the shelter’s food pantry.

“Survivors of domestic violence face a variety of obstacles to safety, including food insecurity,” said Victoria Stanton, Director of Development & Engagement for Safe Voices. “Our partnership with Community Credit Union and their Ending Hunger initiative has been a vital source of support over the years.”
