Atlantic FCU Foundation Awards $10,000 Scholarship to Graduating Mt. Ararat High School Student

The Atlantic FCU Foundation is proud to recognize Anya Bachor as the $10,000 Atlantic College Scholarship recipient. Anya recently graduated from Mt. Ararat High School in Topsham.

This past spring, Atlantic FCU members who were graduating high school seniors were invited to apply for the Atlantic FCU Foundation College Scholarship program. The applicants were asked to provide an essay, a reference letter from a high school teacher or counselor, a resume that included community service, and their transcript. The Atlantic FCU Scholarship Committee reviewed each application and selected the recipients.

“We are always seeking to help our members do better and continue to improve their financial quality of life,” said Scott Chretien, CEO/President at Atlantic FCU. “It is a pleasure to be able to offer some assistance and help students as they take the next step in continuing their education.”

In addition to Anya’s scholarship, the Foundation awarded an additional $10,000 in scholarships to the following recipients:

  • Isabella Farrington of Sanford High School was awarded $5,000
  • William Martel of Greely High School was awarded $2,500
  • MaKayla O’Brien of Sanford High School was awarded $1,500
  • Abrial Davis of Thornton Academy was awarded $1,000

Congratulations to all of these award winners.
