Annual League awards program issues last call for nominations

When the 2018 Maine CU League's Annual Awards are presented on Friday, May 18, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay, don't be sitting there in the crowd spending time thinking, "I wish I had nominated so and so for one of the Awards."  With the approaching deadline to submit nominations on March 30, there is still time to submit a nomination(s) for one or more of the prestigious awards.

Nominations are now being accepted for the following Awards:

Alexander Ferguson Award for Outstanding CU Volunteer - presented to a credit union volunteer to recognize contributions, commitment and dedication to a credit union and to the CU System.

James M. Gratto Award for Outstanding CU CEO - presented to a credit union CEO/President.

Jeannette G. Morin Award for Outstanding CU Employee - presented to a credit union employee for his/her outstanding achievements, work ethic and contributions to the credit union and its members.

Diane L. Oceretko 'People Helping People' Community Service Award - presented to a credit union employee or volunteer for their community-service and social responsibility efforts.

The recipients will be formally recognized at the Maine CU League's Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet on Friday evening, May 18, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay.  "It's a great tribute to the many contributions that so many individuals associated with Maine credit unions do almost everyday.  It is because of great people that credit unions in Maine are thriving.  The Awards program is an opportunity to recognize some of those special individuals," stated Cheryl Lancaster, EVP of Member Services for the Maine CU League.

To nominate an individual(s) for any of the Awards, please click here.  All nominations must be received to your League by March 30, 2018, at 5:00 p.m.  The Awards and Convention Committee will review all nominations and select winners in April.
