2017 Ending Hunger Campaign in the "counting the funds" stage

Though a few physical checks continue to trickle in, the vast majority of contributions and funds raised for the 2017 Maine CUs' Campaign for Ending Hunger have been received by your League.  Now, the counting and reconciling has begun in earnest.  "We need to verify all contributions and totals prior to presenting it, along with the recommended allocations for statewide initiatives and reward grants, to the Social Responsibility Committee for approval," explained Jon Paradise, Vice President of Public Affairs and Engagement for the Maine CU League, which coordinates the Maine CUs' Campaign for Ending Hunger.

Paradise declined to discuss any early fundraising totals but said, "We expect a very strong year, as indicated by many of the totals submitted by credit unions.  This is the exciting part as we wait and see how much was raised in total, and if a new record was set for the 2017 Campaign."

For any credit union that has not yet submitted funds or a corporate contribution, please do so as quickly as possible.  Checks or MOs should be made payable to (Ending Hunger) and mailed to: Maine CU League, Attn: Jon Paradise, PO Box 1236, Portland ME 04104.

Invitations for the 2017 Ending Hunger Results Luncheon happening on Tuesday, February 6, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., at the Double Tree Hotel in South Portland, will be sent out in the next few days.
