NorState FCU Is Offering Scholarships to High School Seniors
NorState FCU is now accepting applications for eight $1,000 scholarships. Graduating seniors attending high school in Aroostook County or in the northern part of Penobscot County are eligible to apply. Scholarships applications are available on the credit union’s website or at high school guidance department offices.

cPort CU Announces President & CEO Gene Ardito’s Retirement and Leadership Succession Plan
cPort CU announced that Gene Ardito will retire as President & CEO on June 1, 2025, after a successful 21-year tenure of visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and transformative service. Kelsey Marquis, cPort CU’s current Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer, will be appointed to the role of President effective March 1, 2025, and President & CEO upon Ardito’s retirement.
League Joins PeoplesChoice CU in Mourning the Passing of Leo Simard
The League joins PeoplesChoice CU in mourning the loss of Leo Simard, who served on both the credit union’s and the League’s Board of Directors. He passed away peacefully on February 16.

Maine Family FCU Donates $30,000 to Trinity Jubilee Center for Walk-In Freezer in New Building
Maine Family FCU is proud to announce a $30,000 donation to Trinity Jubilee Center to support the installation of a walk-in freezer in its new building under construction at 123 Bates Street in Lewiston. This essential upgrade will significantly enhance the center’s capacity to serve the community by storing and distributing perishable food to those in need.
HRCU Accepting Nominations for Its 2025 Annual HRCU Scholarship
HRCU has announced that it is now accepting applications for its 2025 scholarships program. This year, HRCU will offer a record 15 $1,000 scholarships to local students. It will also offer $1,000 awards to students of employees. Recipients will be honored at an event at HRCU’s headquarters in June.
