Remembering Downeast CU's Donna Cochran
It is with great sadness that Downeast CU shares the loss of their dear friend and colleague, Donna Cochran. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, friend, and colleague. Donna leaves a legacy of caring, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Her loss marks the end of an era at Downeast, and the team there will continue to remember her well.

NorState FCU Is Offering Scholarships to High School Seniors
NorState FCU is now accepting applications for eight $1,000 scholarships. Graduating seniors attending high school in Aroostook County or in the northern part of Penobscot County are eligible to apply. Scholarships applications are available on the credit union’s website or at high school guidance department offices.

cPort CU Announces President & CEO Gene Ardito’s Retirement and Leadership Succession Plan
cPort CU announced that Gene Ardito will retire as President & CEO on June 1, 2025, after a successful 21-year tenure of visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and transformative service. Kelsey Marquis, cPort CU’s current Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer, will be appointed to the role of President effective March 1, 2025, and President & CEO upon Ardito’s retirement.

The League joins PeoplesChoice CU in mourning the loss of Leo Simard, who served on both the credit union’s and the League’s Board of Directors. He passed away peacefully on February 16.
