Credit unions interested in Community Development Financial Institutions Fund grants can get valuable information on a January 23 webinar hosted by the National Credit Union Administration and the CDFI Fund. Online registration for this webinar, “Grant Opportunities from the CDFI Fund,” is now open. The webinar is scheduled to begin at 2:00 pm and last approximately 75 minutes. It will include a live question-and-answer session.

UCU Announces Staff Promotions and New Additions to Its Team


University CU (UCU) is pleased to announce three staff promotions. Stephanie Beck has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing and Community Development; Abbey Ramsay has advanced to Vice President of Lending; and Jess Francis has been promoted to HR & Executive Administrative Manager. Additionally, the credit union announced that Beth Beaudoin joined UCU as a Mortgage Origination Manager and Patrick “Coney” Quinn joined as a Consumer Lending Manager.

League Encourages Volunteerism Reporting Under New Name


Credit unions across Maine give back to their local communities in meaningful and creative ways. The People Helping People philosophy has long-been demonstrated through volunteerism efforts across the state, with credit unions reporting their efforts using the CUs Share for ME form. To better represent the mission of the program, the CUs Share for ME tool has undergone a name change—now being called the Volunteer Tracking tool. With a switch to a comprehensible name, the League will be able to more effectively convey our mission.
