Top CUs recognized for Ending Hunger success

At the recent Ending Hunger Results Luncheon, the Top 25 credit unions in total funds raised and in highest per member contributions were recognized.  Among the honorees were some familiar faces and some new ones, but every credit union can feel proud of their accomplishments and efforts.  Being in the Top 25 pays extra dividends for credit unions because it includes reward grants for placing in the Top 25 in either category, and means that a credit union will receive back more money than it raised.  "This is one reason why the Campaign is so special - credit unions not only receive back 100% of the funds raised to distribute locally but, this year, 30 credit unions received in excess of that amount.  It's great to see more than half of the state's credit unions falling into that category," stated Jon Paradise, Vice President of Public Affairs and Engagement for the Maine Credit Union League.
