Political Gains! A record year for CULAC

With 2018 being an Election Year, the importance of fundraising for CULAC and Maine CULAC takes on even added importance.  The good news is that 2017 was a record-setting year for the League's CULAC and Maine CULAC efforts.  Though the final figures are still being compiled and an exact total won't be known for a few weeks, what is known is that fundraising for CULAC and Maine CULAC surpassed $100,000 for the first time ever.  With lots of important elections coming up in 2018 at both the federal and state level, including a Senate race and both Congressional seats, the race for Governor, and all 186 legislative seats up, the significance of raising more than $100,000 is that the League is well-positioned to contribute to early fundraisers.  However, fundraising for 2018 will be critical to ensure that Maine CUs are able to support candidates that support credit unions.

Thank you to all who contributed to a record-setting year for CULAC and Maine CULAC.  The top contributors for 2017, as of November 1, 2017, were recognized at the Maine CU League's Legislative Forum in November.
