Maine CU League prepares to create, reinforce, provide connections at 2018 Convention

With April’s colder-than-usual temperatures and limited sunshine behind us, all eyes our focused on the month of May.  While the adage says, “April showers bring May flowers,” there is something else ready to bloom.  The Maine CU League’s 2018 Annual Meeting & Convention is nearly upon us, and great speakers, networking, exhibits, entertainment, fundraising and more awaits the more than 700 attendees already registered to attend.

The 2018 Annual Meeting & Convention will mark the 80th for the Maine CU League, and takes place May 18-19, at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland.  “Each year, we make changes to the Convention format, based on feedback, the latest trends and issues in the industry, and other factors.  We are really excited to present non-stop learning, information, and opportunities for attendees at this year’s Convention,” stated Cheryl Lancaster, EVP of Member Services for the Maine CU League.

Lancaster said interest in the Convention got off to a strong start and “is getting stronger every day as it gets closer.  This is the one, true annual event that is designed to bring the entire Maine CU System together.  The System was built on cooperation and collaboration, and the Convention and Annual meeting is an opportunity to reinforce those strengths each year.”

Registration for the Convention is still open but time is running out to attend the Convention sessions and/or the Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet on Friday evening, May 18.
