Doing good has its rewards!


From individual volunteering to preventing fraud, Maine credit unions continue to do great things for their members and communities, and receiving recognition for it.  “It’s great to see credit unions not only as organizations but the people within the organizations doing some remarkable things to make a difference,” said Jon Paradise, Vice President of Public Affairs and Engagement for the Maine Credit Union League.

Scouts Honor!

Ryan Poulin, President/CEO of New Dimensions FCU, was recognized by the Town of Sidney with the Spirit of America Award for his many hours and years spent leading local Scouts.

Fraud Prevention – Part 1

Infinity FCU employees were recognized with a Citizens Award by Westbrook Maine Police Department for protecting a member from becoming a victim of a real estate scam of $106,000.

Fraud Prevention – Part 2

Dylan Paradis, a teller at Acadia FCU, was recently recognized by the CU for his work in preventing a member from being the victim of a scam to wire $5,500 to a fraudulent party.

‘United’ by recognition
Two Maine CUs, Changing Seasons FCU and Otis FCU, were recently honored by their local United Way Chapters for their involvement and contributions to their communities.

Staff at Changing Seasons FCU were honored by the United Way of Eastern Maine with a Gold Award.
