League and Synergent staff, along with eleven Maine credit unions, were on hand Tuesday evening to receive Best Places to Work in Maine recognition at the Augusta Civic Center.
Recognized for “thoughts and ideas always being considered” and “dedication to empowering employees,” Maine State CU received the highest level of recognition, coming in 2nd in the 50-249 employee category. When interviewed by WCSH News Anchor, Cindy Williams, President/CEO Tucker Cole stated that “much of our success can be attributed to the development of a positive culture at the credit union.”
Down East CU received a 3rd place ranking in the same category, being recognized for “always embracing the people helping people philosophy” and “placing emphasis on employee development.” Sabattus Regional received a 4th place award in the 15-49 employee category while being recognized for “being small but mighty” and “being giants in helping their community.” Additional recognition was given to TruChoice FCU in the same category (#5) for “making teamwork a priority and encouraging silliness and joy in the workplace.”
In addition to the League and Synergent being recognized in the 50-249 employee category, other credit unions rankings included: cPort CU, Evergreen CU, Infinity FCU, Midcoast FCU, PeoplesChoice CU, Town and Country FCU, and University CU.
