Maine Savings FCU has an immediate opening for the position of Senior Vice President, Member Experience at its Hampden location. In conjunction with the Chief Experience Officer, the SVP Member Experience will provide leadership to the branch network and member service center regarding sales and service delivery, lending support, team performance reviews, salary and wage recommendations, coaching for performance improvement and professional development, operations and procedures.
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Guide and develop retail managers and staff in the effective leadership of their individual teams. Understand and apply Maine Savings policies, procedures and standards in regard to member experience, sales excellence, supervision, and compliance to ensure maximum productivity of all staff members.
- Serve as a coach and resource to the Retail and Member Service Center staff in their sales and member service efforts.
- Drive and administer the monthly sales campaigns to ensure continual retail growth by the retail division. Work with the branch managers and Chief Retail Officer to identify and execute on sales opportunities.
- Have expertise in the lending process to support retail lending staff as necessary.
- Advocate for and work in a collaborative environment with the Lending Division to support the retail staff and members in advancing loans and loan products to serve member needs.
- Works in collaboration with the retail team towards the achievement of business development and community activity goals by having the retail staff conduct networking, calling, onboarding and visiting existing and potential members. Provides other tactics as needed.
- Assist retail banking with developing and implementing financial literacy initiatives.
- Ensure quality and consistency of the credit union’s sales, operational, and service expectations across entire branch network to maximize the member experience.
- Serve as a resource to the operational staff for the delivery of support to the branches and members to have an organizational wide synergy for positive member experience and employee productivity.
- Represent Maine Savings in the communities it serves by participating in civic/community organizations and representing Maine Savings in the community to assist in brand awareness and supporting Maine Savings mission of being a dedicated and responsible corporate citizen and to support business development.
Requirements:
We are seeking someone with superior verbal and written communication skills and demonstrates creativity, flexible foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems and in dealing with a variety of situations where limited standardization exists. Strong leadership skills are preferred. A bachelor’s degree in a related field, which may include Business, Finance, Accounting or other related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
